One day Training Course
The course takes the form of hands-on training where attendees learn how to link, extract, transform and load data from external data source(s) to the Inside data mart.
Upon completion of this course, participants will know how to:
- Link to a data source via different methods
- Cleanse and transform data
- Create table joins to expand data sets
- ‘Live link’ a data source to Inside XL
- Setup data refresh schedules
- Create user types, language and login options
- Create user groups and assign users
- Set access rights to various modules
- Set group security for access to data set parameters
- Writing script to further enhance data transformation
Course Prerequisites
This course assumes the participant has a basic understanding of the structure to the underlying data source that they would like to connect to. Experience with working with SQL databases would be an advantage, but is not required.

Users who are responsible for the connecting to data sources that are queried by Inside XL.
